Deva Katta
Deva Kaushik Katta is an Indian American filmmaker, known for his works exclusively in Telugu cinema. In 2010, he directed Prasthanam, showcased in the Indian Panorama section at International Film Festival of India. He holds a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering and worked as a vehicle crashworthiness expert in General Motors. ==Early life==
Deva Katta was born in Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh. His family moved to Chennai and Katta was brought up there. He studied in Chennai and did his mechanical engineering degree from Satyabhama Engineering College. He later moved to the United States for higher studies and obtained a master of science in mechanical engineering from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. Katta progressed into film making while working as a full-time engineer in the automobile industry in the US.
